Many of the lessons in A Course In Miracles, as demonstrated in my last post The World We See, talk about seeing, vision, recognizing, seeking, and perceiving. Many lessons also discuss the Light, such as Lesson 44: God Is The Light In Which I See. Using visual terminology and referring to God as Light is very commonplace and, I feel, easy for those studying spirituality to grasp. However, when it comes to using audio terminology, it can be more challenging to understand or relate to its meaning.
Lesson 49: God’s Voice Speaks To Me All Through The Day.
Lesson 106: Let Me Be Still And Listen To The Truth.
Lesson 125: In quiet I receive God’s Word today.
Lesson 151: All Things Are Echoes Of The Voice For God.
Though some people may actually hear God’s voice, like Abraham in the Book of Genesis or Neale Donald Walsch, author of Conversations with God, most of us will not. In order to understand these lessons, we need to break down what word and voice mean: words and voices are sounds, and just like light, sound is vibration or vibrating energy. And, as physics and quantum physics has been bringing to greater and greater light over the past century, everything is and is created from vibrating energy.
When we become quiet and still, when our minds stop chattering about our grievances and fears, our souls within our bodies will “hear” the divine vibration of God’s word and voice; and as we become full of nothing (see last post), we free ourselves to be empty vessels ready and willing to be filled with the reverberating echoes of the voice of God.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. – John 1:1-2
It is this infinite vibrational energy, the eternal light and the everlasting love, that creates life, enlightens our minds, and empowers our loving thoughts to create miracles in our lives.
