Remembering Our Oneness

lao-tzu-harmonious-onenessAs I’ve reviewed my notes, circles, and underlinings in The Course from these last few weeks, I have recollected how the theme of remembering is being woven through the lessons. Regular reminders always help concepts, ideas, etc. to sink into our minds, and The Course is doing just that to help us to remember our oneness with God, with our brothers, and with All.

It is in this remembering our oneness that Love is free to flow within, throughout, and interconnecting our lives. Forgiveness and Gratitude become easy as the fears of the ego-mind and of the body-mind ease as we remember that we are not separate from God, ever. We are always safe, secure, and truly in Love.

Lesson 243: Father…We are one because each part contains Your memory, and truth must shine in all of us as one.

The word remember means: to bring to mind again; to be mindful of again. To remember is to come to the awareness or to the state of mindfulness that we are already where we seek to be – interconnected, in union/yoga, in heaven, at enlightenment or nirvana, with God. Remembering is awakening!

Lesson 225: We are one, and it is but this oneness that we seek, as we accomplish these few final steps which end a journey that was not begun.

Lesson 227: And so today we find our glad return to Heaven, which we never really left.

Lesson 254

Let Every Voice But God’s Be Still In Me

Today we let no ego thoughts direct our words or actions. When such thoughts occur, we quietly step back and look at them, and then we let them go. We do not want what they would bring with them. And so we choose to keep them. They are silent now. And in stillness, hallowed by His Love, God speaks to us and tells us of our will, as we have chosen to remember Him.

  1. Yes we are indeed One.. and for me these words stood out ” When such thoughts occur, we quietly step back and look at them, and then we let them go.”…

Maybe I have been doing that I think recently.. Thank you Julie.. x Hugs and Blessings Sue ❤

  2. I don’t know if you’ve been following the Tapping Summit with Nick Ortner. One of Louise Hays authors. One of the things I’ve noted with tapping is it calms this entire inner system so that you return to that natural state of calm from which we came. That it helps you dump the tension that gets in the way of remembering who you are. This piece felt like the same thing.
